Slice of Seclusion in Downtown Southern Pines

Very close to everything! A hidden gem!

This property was located in a great spot - right downtown Southern Pines - near shopping and restaurants. HOWEVER, property was not what we expected. The outside patio overgrown and unkept. Upon entering there were two dead cockroaches in the entry way. Upholstered furniture was dirty and stained as well. Hand towel in bathroom had dirty marks on itand supply of other towels was less than desirable. Only two thin towels - white towels that appeared gray and one very old wash cloth. Bed pillows were completely flat. Decided to stay the night however, coming back from breakfast the next morning there was a LIVE cockroach crawling on the bedroom floor. That was the last straw! We no longer felt comfortable staying there and left. We did reach out to the owners and they were trying to dispute the fact that it had just been treated by a Pest Control company stating that can happen as the bugs come out of hiding and die and that we could flush them. As for the towels, they would check with their team. At that point we had already left and requested a refund. Credited two nights that we didn’t stay, but not refunded cleaning fee! Would not recommend staying here.

Overall a good stay. Great location with lots of shopping and food in walking distance. The property could use a few im Positive: Very private but in a great location. The bed was comfy. Negative: The Palmetto Bugs were inside the property. Only two towels for a three day stay for two people. There was a working washer and dryer however no detergent.

This airbnb is where we saw each other again after 27 years apart (high school sweethearts and now 40-somethings) and we came back for our wedding night this past weekend. It is such a wonderful space. Comfortable and clean with a wonderful courtyard. Best location in downtown Southern Pines you could hope for! We will definitely be back again. My wife wishes we could buy it.

I loved this little apartment so much, I wanted to sign a year lease! Positive: Great location! Somehow right in the middle of downtown, yet rather private. Negative: I noticed a broken figurine on the patio, and a piece of flooring / trim kept coming loose between the bedroom and the bathroom.
