Ceres Cottage: A Pinehurst Golfer’s Getaway

Absolutely unacceptable — save your money.We had 8 people staying here for a golf trip, and this property failed to provide some of the most basic amenities we expected.The ice maker had mold in it and didn't work, and despite notifying the property management company, it was never addressed.Even worse, we had NO HOT WATER because the propane tank was empty. Because there was no propane, we also couldn't use the stove, dryer, or grill. With 8 people staying here, this meant we couldn't cook the breakfasts and dinners we had planned and had to spend significantly more money eating out. We even had to pay for a hotel room just to take a hot shower.What makes this even more infuriating is how management handled it. After losing hot water, stove, dryer, grill, and ice machine, they decided a 30% refund was a "fair adjustment."Apparently, they believe you're still receiving 70% of the value of a rental when you can't take a hot shower, cook a meal, or use several of the advertised amenities.Problems can happen at any property. The real issue is the failure to address them and the dismissive response afterward.This wasn't a minor inconvenience. It cost us additional money, disrupted our trip, and made the property substantially less usable than what we paid for.We would never stay here again. Very disappointing property, and even more disappointing management. Think twice before booking.

The house was awesome, with plenty of room. It was a great location for us to get to all the courses. I will book again next year if we are invited to Nationals.

Everything was great and the house exceeded all our expectations. Communication throughout our trip was excellent. I can't recommend this house highly enough for a large group of golfers coming to Pinehurst.

This is a beautiful cottage and was very comfortable for all of our party very well kept and beautiful inside. it is very spacious and has everything you need.
